June was a whirl wind of a month with trade wars, the meeting with North Korea, and the disastrous Zero Tolerance Policy on immigration resulting in 2,300 children being separated from their families.
Zero Tolerance Immigration Policy:
Donald Trump-America’s illegitimate president Zero Tolerance Policy cracking down on immigration is a complete disaster with no clear plan on what is next. Separating young kids from their families is an inhumane act for any government can do, to taken away young kids from their parents illustrates Donald Trump and his disastrous administration does not understand immigration policy.
“No child should be taken from the parents who are risking their lives to provide a better life for their child.”
History tells us, how white people immigrated all over the world, stealing people from their homeland-Slavery, stealing a country that does not belong to them-Trail of Tears, and placing Japanese families in internment camps during World War 2, do not have any rights to ban other people from seeking a better life in a new country.
What America is witnessing is a policy where a certain group of people, using the same old “Zero Tolerance Policy” used against people of color to ban them from entering a country that never belong to them.
America Repeating History:
Jeff Sessions using the bible to justify the Trump administration actions is history repeating itself when the colonizers used this same tactic when kidnapping African-Americans during slavery.
What is taking place in our nation is despicable, but it is America. The Zero Immigration Policy is America repeating history on banning people of a different ethnic groups and creating policies and agencies to claim “as safety and protection”, but it’s racists.
Trump abysmal “Zero Tolerance” policy to carry out separating families is wasting tax dollars on detention centers where young kids are being held. What we are witnessing with this terrible policy is how ineffective our Congress is and why we must stay diligent and vote. For 30 years, there were many opportunities for Congress to fix the nation’s immigration policy among many other policies.
“For 30 years Congress had the opportunity to fix immigration and many other policies.”
It’s not enough to discuss the abysmal “Zero Tolerance” policy Trump is attempting to implement separating families and wasting our tax dollars on detention centers where young kids are being held. What we have witnessed with this terrible policy is how ineffective our Congress is and why we must stay diligent and vote. For 30 years Congress had the opportunity to fix immigration and many other policies and failed.
The year 2018, separating families and wasting tax dollars on holding young kids in detention centers.
This is America.🔷
Update: Thursday July 26th was the deadline for the Trump administration to reunite all families and they have failed.
