Caught up in the optimism of the Leave campaign, Lance from Swansea, Wales, ended up voting Leave in 2016. He now considers most of this was lies and has changed his mind. He has become a RemainerNow and wants another vote.

I voted Leave.

I too fell for the lies. I believed the ludicrous idea that Britain could rule the waves. That the European Union needed us more than we needed them, that we would get a better deal than we have and that we held all the cards.

I was wrong.

It was a head of heart vote, and I went with heart. Never again!

I started having doubts a few days after, especially when all the promises were rescinded. But it is Chequers that did it for me. As soon as it was written down it was clear that Brexit was simply impossible.

Most importantly, it was James O’Brien’s LBC show that brought evidence and facts to the argument. Then, from James O’Brien, I found the podcasts of Remainiacs and Ian Dunt. Femi and OFOC have also done a sterling job and helped me see the errors of my ways.

The more I was listening to counter-arguments the more I understood I had fallen for the lies and unlawfulness of those Brexiters, out for themselves.

It is clear that many Leave voters have changed their minds and are #RemainerNow, which is why it is important too for democracy that we get a People’s Vote now
