Andrea Leadsom and the Government clearly don’t believe in the power of a people’s petition, yet they claim to be on the side of the people... Let’s act!

Responding to a question in the House of Commons by the SNP MP Marion Fellows about the Revoke Article 50 petition that grew from about 20,000 signatures yesterday morning to now nearly a million signatures in less than 24 hours, the Leader of the House of Commons Andrea Leadsom thought it would be good to ironically say:

“Should it reach more than 17.4 million respondents, I am sure there would be a very clear case for taking action.”

Parliament TV

The irony is that Andrea Leadsom and the Government might well soon have to eat her words if the petition keeps going at the current pace of around 100k new signature every hour...

1 million signatures reached at 2.54pm.

The petition is supported by many celebs too, such as Brian Cox, Hugh Grant, Jennifer Saunders...

So, in case you have not yet done so, please sign the petition now! (and be patient if the page is down, as the website has already crashed a couple of times already...)🔷
