If you are still unsure as to why you should definitely vote tactically in Thursday’s General Election, read this brilliant piece by Steve Bullock.

It’s about giving a shit.

Johnson doesn’t give a shit if his lies are called out. He doesn’t give a shit if his promises can’t be kept. He doesn’t give a shit about the NHS, homelessness, child poverty, schools or that Brexit is a disaster.

Johnson and his party don’t give a shit about your job, your rights, your house or your kids’ school. He doesn’t give a shit about EU citizens in the UK or UK citizens in the EU. He doesn’t give a shit about minorities, or equality or justice, or fairness or even basic humanity.

He and his cabinet could not give the slightest shit about immigrants, whatever their skill level. They don’t give a shit about the business you work for, the business you own. They couldn’t give a shit about Northern Ireland, or Scotland, or Wales, or even most of England.

Johnson couldn’t give a shit about the UK’s place in the world, or its reputation or influence. He couldn’t give a shit about trade deals or food standards, or chlorinated chicken. He couldn’t give even a tiny hint of a shit about about the criminal justice system or security.

He couldn’t give a shit about affordable housing or a social safety net, or the dignity of the disabled (or anyone else). He couldn’t give a shit about racism, or sexism or homophobia, or abuse. He couldn’t give a shit about local services. He couldn’t even give a shit about bloody football pitches.

He couldn’t give a shit about your family, anyone you know, your town, your region or your country. He couldn’t give a shit about you.

Why doesn’t he give a shit about any of this? Because he thinks everyone is like him and his cabinet, and his party. He thinks you couldn’t give a shit either.

But you can give a shit, and you have the chance to get rid of this shit, and his shitty friends. #VoteTacticalNotTribal.🔷
