
As the UK was leaving the European Union on Friday, someone spotted an openly xenophobic poster put up anonymously on a fire door inside Winchester Tower in Norwich, demanding that the residents in the block of council flats speak English only, with the simple heading βHappy Brexit Dayβ β and some bad English itself.

Norwich City Council later posted a statement on Twitter:
As soon as we became aware of this incident, we reported
