What are the most and the least trusted professions in Britain? A new survey shows British people trust people in the following professions to tell the truth.

Trust me, Iβm a doctor. So goes the well-worn phrase, and as a new Ipsos MORI survey reveals, medical professionals are indeed the most trusted group in Britain.
A convincing 93% said they think nurses are trustworthy, followed by doctors with 91%, engineers with 89% and teachers 85%.

At the bottom of the pile are advertising executives who enjoy the trust of only 13% of the population β outdoing even politicians in terms of distrust.
Government ministers only 16%. Surprised?
In the era of so-called βfake newsβ, journalists also make an appearance at the latter end of the list with a score of just 23%.π·
