The 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 variant B16172 has now become wholly domininant in the UK with the latest number of cases sequenced in the last 28 days reaching 𝟭𝟳,𝟵𝟴𝟴 (𝟱𝟵.𝟬𝟭%) while the 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 variant B117’s rapid decline taking it to 𝟭𝟭,𝟴𝟲𝟬 cases, i.e. only 𝟯𝟴.𝟵𝟭% of all sequenced cases. No other variant seems to be able to challenge 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮.
