6,048 new coronavirus infections and sadly 13 deaths due to Covid-19 reported in the last 24 hours. There have been 96,507 new cases reported in the past 28 days. Any surprise then in the DfE data showing that one in 50 secondary school children have been absent due to Covid-19?
