We are looking for staff to sell advertising space for PMP Magazine. This is an opportunity to gain an outstanding range of experience at a young, dynamic and growing magazine that would suit a recent graduate, someone looking for a step into media sales or someone who simply wants to help our magazine with its mission to make change for the better out there.

  • Selling advertising space for the magazine (digital).
  • Developing new features and commercial opportunities.
  • Sourcing and developing sales leads.
  • Pitching to potential clients – international and domestic – over email.
  • Closing deals.

JNPMedia is the publisher of PMP Magazine.

PMP Magazine receives no guaranteed income and relies on advertising and donations from individuals to support our journalism, operations and staff costs. Our fundraising team is key to this. Our Fundraising team is made up of volunteers.

This role is part of our fundraising team, with a specific focus on responding to individual donors in a polite and timely manner and encouraging them to become regular supporters of PMP Magazine. This is an opportunity to gain an outstanding range of experience at a young, dynamic and growing magazine that would suit a recent graduate, someone looking for a step into fundraising work or someone who simply wants to help our magazine with its mission to make change for the better out there.

Duties

  • Ensuring all donations are acknowledged in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Developing and maintaining regular communication with donors.
  • Using innovative techniques to raise money.
  • Encouraging readers and supporters to become members, and to set up recurring donations.
  • Developing the fundraising strategy for Individual Donors.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with UK Data Protection and GDPR regulations.
  • Liaising with the rest of the Fundraising team and keeping up to speed with changes in policy or approach.

All volunteers in this role must:

  • Be available by email on at least one day per week regularly.
  • Undertake project induction/on-going training and learning as required.
  • Acquaint themselves with and follow all relevant, rules, policies and procedures on safeguarding, confidentiality, boundaries, etc.
  • Read and sign the confidentiality agreement and working agreement.
